Default Discovery Window Reg

so I the other day during our freezing temps my window was frozen, went to roll it down and all it did was click. Put truck in garage and it thawed and worked fine. Today i rolled it all the way down using the auto function and it would not come back up all i could hear was the motor free spinning. Got home took off the panel and the large half circle gear was not engaging and seemed to have some momement, if I put pressure on the far end it would try to engage but still pop pop pop. I cannot get the window to move up at all and it is currently snowing. is there a way to use the regulator from the rear window to switch em out. Im at a loss need to get this window up.

What year disco do you drive? Looking at P/Ns from Rovers North they're all different for the regulators Land Rover Discovery I Interior Window Regulators, Motors, Body Parts Available from RoversNorth.com - Rovers North, Classic Land Rover Parts. Motors are swappable front/rear.

Disengage the regulator from the glass and slide the glass up manually and tape it down until you can get a replacement?

actually ended up having to zip tie the scissors on the reg up. The gear (the big one half circle) was just hanging in there popped right out so right now just waiting on the next paycheck to order the part. playing with the dif lock right now and wondering what the brits were thinking when they engineered this.

I have found Previous Owner had used double sided tape shoved in the window channel to hold a window up on my D1, and another vehicle the PO had drilled a hole in the window regulator and put in a self tapping screw, to lock it in place.
