Do 98's have an evaporative control system?

Default Do 98's have an evaporative control system?

We need to replace our radiator hoses and the parts guy asked if we had an advanced evaporative control system because it made a difference in which lower hose. I read about what they are but have no idea if a Land Rover Discovery LE has one. Do anyone know? Thanks

Have the parts guy cross reference PCH000070 (they can leave off the "G" at the end), that's the lower hose for a '98.

X2, 1998 D1s have advanced evaporative loss, aka AEL.

The "G" only means genuine. Yes your truck is AEL.

AEL was introduced mid 1997. What I always tell my customers is take a look at the charcoal cannister. If it's round, you have the earlier style. If it's rectangular, you have AEL. It's the easiest way to make the determination.
