Found this thread tightened the bolts, #11 was exceptionally loose, and it cured it 100%, take that Mr. Lying Mechanic

That is the reason why it pays off to know your vehicle...mechanics will rape you just because it is a land rover

Do as antichrist suggests and check out his thread on death rattle. It would do us all good to know what to do to diagnose the actual cause. The bolt is just one possible cause. As stated, it could be the suspension. I'm suffering the same. My bet is on my shocks that no longer have their upper bushings. They make a hell of a racket whenever I move the truck, which these days is usually just around the apartment complex parking lot. Sigh...

Good luck all.

Did I miss the link to that thread? I checked the threads he started and didn't see it. Thanks.

Also
Replace the panhead bushing - there are two on the left and right.
These will cause the death wobble also.

I am living the death wobble now.

To get the wobble to stop violently shake the steering wheel back and forth to counteract the oscillation.

You're right. I got a new steering shaft a while back and the bolts came with it applied.

Mine was a loose steering box. I could turn the bolts by hand.

I had it pretty bad. I jacked up a side in front and pulled and yanked on the wheel and I could feel the play in the swivel pins. I went ahead and pulled the hubs and re-packed the wheel bearing and adjusted the swivel preload by removing a couple of shims. I followed a post on here on the swivel pins. Nothing too complicated, just old-fashioned heavy duty wrenching and very greasy - lots of fun. I don't think either job had been done before, so it's about time.
