Door Lock Problem
I have a 1998 D1. Pushing/puling the driver door **** does not lock/unlock the other doors. Turning the key in the door does not lock any doors but the driver door. Using the remote locks and unlocks all doors fine. What could be the problem?
its likley that the little spring that lets the lock go to and from its home position is broken/disconnected. theres a guy from england on ebay that sells the pring for a few bucks each. search "land rover door spring"
i had the same issue with the rear and driver door

Don't think that is the problem. All doors lock/unlock fine with the keyfob but will not lock by pushing the driver door lock button down or by turning the key(only driver door will lock when turning key or pushing button down).
It is part of the door actuator for the driver door. May need to get one from a dismantler like Paul Grant. It is an electrcal switch inside, or your cable from door to frame may be open. Also Fuse 4 in sattelite fuse panel 2 under dash may be at fault. From the RAVE -
and the tailgate.
When the doors are locked by the front exterior
key or the interior door sill ****, the internal
microswitches in the Left Front Door Lock Actuator
(M114) move to the “Lock” position. Voltage from
fuse F4 is applied to the lock actuators through the K
wires. The lock actuators are grounded at E201
through the microswitch contacts and the O wires.
The doors and the tailgate now lock. The solid state
load sensor/timer ensures that the motors operate
only for the time required to lock or unlock the doors

I have a different door lock problem, my pass rear door intermittently will not unlock, it always locks but sometimes does not unlock or does not unlock all the way causing the door to get stuck part way unlatched till you pull the door lock up, I have replaced the actuator and all the linkage seems free, we did replace this door when bought the truck as it had a large hole through it from a forklift but don't think that is causing this since the replacement had all it's own guts and pannel
I checked the fuse and it is good. Where would the ground to frame be located? Kind of odd doors lock with keyfob but not with key/pushing button. Using key does not arm/disarm alarm either, but using keyfob does.
