Yes you just add the White SHepherd and drive 3 hours. 85/140 or 150 is good, and I bought mine at Tractor Supply. Seems like the hand pump to squirt it in came from the auto parts store, screws into the gallon jug.
Now the Lucas oil treatment, that is a different matter. It is a thick material, and does not drip off the parts very fast. Used in a piece of construction gear that gets sporadic use it is good. Put too much of it in something like a gearbox on a bush hog mower, and it whips into mayonaise (white foam). Air bubbles are not much of a lube. I believe the bottle tells you to stay below 25%.
Farmers are used to gearboxes leaking, and will do things like make a "pudding" out of gear lube and a tube of grease. Anything to keep some lube in there. But they are at a blistering 525 rpm from the PTO shaft.
