i think its unlikely youd be able to find enough space/visibility with that odd angle to drill a perfectly centered hole down the middle of that bolt.

if my some miracle you do - step up in drill sizes unless theres not much left of the bolt and try to insert one of those long craftsmen easy out things in there by hand.

id honestly say take it off and have someone else remove it for you. the odds of an easy out or complete drill out and replacement with a helicoil working with it still in the car are slim... and once youve tried one of those and ruined it further, it will be that much more difficult to have someone else remove it.

a good machine shop should be able to pop that thing out within 15-30minutes if you just brought the head in. we recently had a broken exhaust manifold bolt removed from a VW head for $25 (that we'd already broken an easy out in...). the engine was already out of the car as well, broken exhaust studs below the head surface are tricky sometimes :P the guy would have probably done it for a couple beers had the easyout not been in there.

You need to PM IHScouts your phone number JJ so you guys can get together and have a look at the situation.
Let him assess the situation before doing anything else.
You remember IHS, hes the one who fixed your heater switch and the birds nest in your fan.
