Finally happened to me
Well, I dropped my truck off to the local muffler shop this AM to have them replace a leaking inner hub seal that keeps going bad on me.
I needed a new set of eyes on the problem and frankly I was sick of working on it.
Went to pick it up tonight and they had rolled down the drivers window, I went to roll it up and the window stopped moving 3/4 of the way up and then there was a loud CRACK and now it wont move at all, and of course its raining.
So tomorrow after my daughters soccer game I get to pull my door apart, not looking forward to that.
I had plans for Saturday that did not include working on my truck. lol
Once I open up the door and find out whats wrong I will let you guys know.
Wish me luck and lets hope its just a busted roller.

Remember to be gentle prying it off, that structural foam will tear out without much effort. If no rollers available, square furniture glides from Home Depot have been working in mine for over a year.
I'm going to pick up a panel popper today before I start the surgery.
I have read the DIY's in the tech section and once I figure out what I need I will go from there.
I knew I should have been proactive on this and ordered the brass rollers from Falcon Works but why do today what you can put off until tomorrow.

panel popper helps a ton. i can't believe that's your first. sounds like just the roller. just annoying placing all the bits, helps to have skinny arms.
IMO those brass rollers would be great but at $25 and my need for over ten of them and I'm doing plastic.

I just checked the forecast, rain, cold with a chance of snow flurries.
Man this is going to suck today. lol
I dont have a garage that my truck can fit into either.
I can make a temp shelter with a tarp if I have too.

The Rover God's LOVE me!!
While at the soccer game the sky was turning black, lightning, getting cold, wind picking up...went to AutoZone and bought the panel popper, got home, ripped the door apart...sun came out.
All the rollers were in good shape.
BUT the window channel was rusted to hell.
Took the regulator out, plugged it in, works great.
Nearest I can figure is the channel was so rusted out the window bound up and stopped the motor.
I lubed the rollers, re-installed the regulator, ran the glass to the top and left the door panel off.
I am going to get a new window channel for the glass and then replace it.

And here is a tip from your Uncle Spike, when putting the regulator back in roll it all the way down first.
The put in two of the bolts leaving them unscrewed most of the way.
There are 2 elongated holes, put the regulator back in and line up those 2 bolts, tighten, install rest of the bolts.
