I call dibs. There's a 98 downstate on CL that the owner only want's a grand for with 182k. Unmolested, straight body, great paint and mint interior. The rest is the usual, death wobble, misfires, etc., etc.. Was maintained by dealer until they gave up shoveling money into it. I believe it's 1k obo and dark blue. Save your pennies.
I have thought about that also, I almost never roll my windows down so it should not be a problem however I might buy two window channels just so I have a spare.

Where is that truck?
Do you need me to go look at it for you?
I know where there is a actual XD for sale, all original, '97, new rubber, 145k on the clock but the guy wants a mint for it.
He knows is "special" but he still has it overpriced.

I needed a new set of eyes on the problem and frankly I was sick of working on it.
Went to pick it up tonight and they had rolled down the drivers window, I went to roll it up and the window stopped moving 3/4 of the way up and then there was a loud CRACK and now it wont move at all, and of course its raining.
So tomorrow after my daughters soccer game I get to pull my door apart, not looking forward to that.
I had plans for Saturday that did not include working on my truck. lol
Once I open up the door and find out whats wrong I will let you guys know.
Wish me luck and lets hope its just a busted roller.
Happened to me on both front windows. You might hold the record in terms of vehicle mileage before a broken regulator.

Buy two.

Look in the Detroit CL, it's dark blue, it's in the burbs.

Don't even get me fired up over an XD, it's a school bus yellow Disco, It's an SD with skid plates, whoopee!!!

I almost never roll my windows down, I dont do drive thru's, I have a/c, on the highway windows down reduces MPG more vs a/c on the highway.
Windows down while following a deer trail through the woods fills the truck and lungs with dust...plus it just messes up my hair.

I hear you on the XD.
The Motor City is alittle far for me let alone you.
It's cost you $1000 just in fuel!

So why haven't you bought it yet?
JJay's truck has the "death wobble", I just kept it under 65 when I drove it to him, he never leave town with it so he hasn't fixed it yet that I know of.
Once my cats go bad I'll be getting better MPG too, but until then if it ain't broke...

I don't know.......seriously thinking about it. I will have business down there in a month and if it's still available I'll plunk a few bucks on the table and see if they accept. Just punch the cats out now, they are probably already in need of it.
