should be easy. Does the block drain into the lower hose and therefore drain the block also? So one can change the water pump?
But once you remove the lower long bolt (drivers side) that goes through the water pump/ front cover and into the water jacket
the rest of the coolant (to replace the pump) will be removed.
Just put a small bucket/oil change pan under the crank pulley to catch the rest of the coolant.
You can see this in the video (I know it's a DII but same rules apply) just start at 5:10

Draining the radiator with the syphon pump does not drain the block, but it removes more than enough (like 95%) to change the water pump.

I need the fan clutch tool. Everything else is standard wrenching. Is that parts house good for prices?
Bonus for you they have a West Coast warehouse since they bought out British Pacific.
Another great place close to you is Trevor at RovahFarm > https://rovahfarm.com/discoopeningpa...er%20parts.htm
And for many reasons you can't go wrong with Lucky8 > https://www.lucky8llc.com/
The nut on the Fan Clutch (ERR3443) is 36 MM, and you can always rent the wrench and a Fan Clutch Holding Tool from Autozone.

those dimensions will leave about 1/2” of material on each side of the nut. How long is your handle?

Long enough to reach above the fan shroud to smack with a mallet. Probably around 18” to 20” long. 2.5” wide leaves .5” either side of the 1.5” nut to grab it with. My widget is plased out of .5” stainless stock and I TIG welded a handle to it, I get bored sometimes.... I’ve never taken to crocheting.
