Default front drive shaft

i have read alot of threads on the front shafts breaking after lifting due to the angle and i was wondering why people say dont use the front shaft out of a d2 since it already has the double cardon joint built in? i know the swap requires the transfer case flange but other than that its an easy swap.
i also found adapters to run a spicer 1310 ujoint and i could swap the front shaft out to a 3/4 ton late 70s for front shaft which would give me 2in of extra length and much stronger. has anyone ever done this?

An original D2 front driveshaft does not have a greaseable double cardon joint. That'd be a big reason... and the main reason the D2 front driveshafts fail and take out the transmission.
