Default Universal Joint & Yoke

Lost the U-Joint and Yoke on the front diff of my 98 range rover. Anyone know where I can find the Yoke or do I have to buy the whole drive shaft assembly like the dealership says.

So are you saying you damaged the flange that the drive shaft hooks to on the t/case or part of the rive shaft itself?
If it is the drive shaft, yeh, you don't want to spend the money to rebuild it if it s damaged.
Two options, Tom Wood's Custom Drive shaft for a new replacement or Roverlandparts.com for a guaranteed used shaft.

Yea exactly the flange on the front diff is damaged as well as the u joint itself.....I was driving very slow as I felt it start to vibrate so no other damage is apparent. Would like to use the same drive shaft and same u joint and yoke up at the transfer case and just replace the differential yoke and ujoint......

If the drive shaft is OK and all you damaged was the u-joint then order a Percision 344 u-joint, as for the flange, try Landroverparts.com

Yea I ended up going by West Coast Rovers here in socal and he was piecing out another P38 so he sold me the whole driveshaft assembly for 200 bucks. Figured that was the right way to do it. He was also suprised the drive shaft didnt do more damage, said he just reapired one where the u-joint failed and exactly like you said went through the tranny and everything else. I felt the vibration a little early and knew it was drive shaft and told my wife to slow down and pull over and we were doing about 15 mph when it snapped so it didnt get thrown around to much.......Just finished fitting the new shaft this morning so ready to go out for new years to the desert and run it....

I go to desert hot springs about once a month with my friend jamie (owner of AVC aviation) usually in Air Ambulances he services there for customers. "8 seats all smoking and one right seat" the real animals are out there. Seen trucks do amazing s..t. He has three old sunbathed jeeps out there that are not much to look at but when it comes to dragging out a victom??? a rover does the job. I like the desert but its 30 miles to the beer store and you dont even need license plate no one gives a s..t. The indian reservations are wonderful (best people and hosts I ever met). scott
