soundstream,

Amber lights next to head lights just come on with turn signals. There are small rectangular lights that are mounted in the SIDE of the bumpers, which come on as parking lights, but are not seen from head on. They also have one of those small bulbs with wire terminals, not a screw in.

No running lights head on other than city light inside head lamp fixture. On the SIDE of the truck, front and rear bumpers, are small rectangular lights that should come on with running lights, called "side lights or marker lights" in the manual. These use a little bulb with push in wire terminals, not a twist in base.

Do these marker lights in the bumper illuminate when the rest of the "parking lights" are turned on?
On the front and rear bumpers, in the corner covers, there is a amber lamp for the front, and a red one for the back.
This is the bumper corner cover.

There is one on each side, yes they are supposed to come on whenever the lights are on, either parking or full lights, they are supposed to come on.
98.99% of them no longer work, they are exposed to the elements and get corroded, torn off, etc.
Look under your truck and you might find them tucked up in the frame or underside of your truck, non functional of course.

Front and rear corners, parking lights on - "city light" in head lamp on. Details of city light housing in main head light.
