Can the stepper motor(IACV) be tested to see if it works?

If you take out stepper and power up truck, it should move in/out on its own. Don't try to force it. Just clean with squirts of carb cleaner, and the bore it fits into. It is a computer controlled 200 step (or 180, depending on version) vacuum leak.

After you do a major job you need to recheck your steps on reassembly. I of all people know this (re: stall post). If it ran before you took it apart there is a good chance you have a simple problem.

I know what did it in, I was cleaning the valve( I used gas, its cheaper and works better) but I should have removed the valve before hand.
