fuel pump questions
Looks like you got it! Be sure the clamps are tight, put a small dab of dielectric grease on the connector, and let it rip. Just put some rags under/around the hoses and turn the key to posII. Let the pressure build and check for leaks. Then start it.
"I think the fuel is at 20-30 bars?" Unless you installed a fuel pump for a solid rocket booster, I don't think a disco makes 290 psi-435psi.
More like a max of 36psi(2.5 bar).
All good!

Aaand all systems go!
Started like it was starving for road! No leaks, no issues, seems all good. Cycled it twice before starting and was happy to hear the pump winding up. Then, whoomp, it couldn't wait to start.
I got a little worried because it was nailing pretty bad when it started up and down my street but I figured it would even out and it did. Everything smooth, all fine, no leaks, everything holding. It will be a while before I put the plate back on, but all seems great! Thanks, you guys!!!!

Yes, I did install a fuel pump from a Mars rocket. Was I not supposed to?
Who wants my old pump? Will give it to someone for postage. Let me know. It's got to be good for something. YES, I will drain and dry it thoroughly.

Next is swapping the old tape deck for a newer stereo. I am certain to be more than hopeless at that. I will have parts left over -- the CD changer that doesn't read right and AM/FM tape deck. The tape deck has worked fine but lately thinks there's a tape in and I can't get it to switch bands (except to weather) soooo... that goes next, if the weather is ok after I get paid next.
