Final my OBDLink LX arrived!

I was excited to get the GEMS Reader app v1.3 fired up on my Android device running Kitkat 4.4.4
I can get the app to open and connect to the OBDLink LX but it will soon after crash.
Sometimes after the app connects to the OBDLink LX I am able to click on the option for Adaptive Reset, sadly before the app crashes before the process completes.

I have rebooted my device several times, cleared the data and cache of the app and still it crashes.
I really want to get my idle down from the 900rpm to the recommended 700-750 for my 96 D1 manual transmission.
If anyone has any additional insight please chime in.

Try a different app as I am assuming it’s just a Bluetooth OBD II dongle. Give Torque a try and see if it will link up it’s pretty reliable just dated looking.

 

Thanks for the response. Torque fires right up and works good.
I need RobertF's GEMS Reader app to do the Adaptive Reset.

Does Torque offer this feature?

Not that I know of.

Now you know that its a issue with the gems app and not the OBD II dongle.

Had to go look up the app as I hadn’t seen that one.
