See it thru Tom. You'll be greatly satisfied in the end. No more eating to hg's cuz of high temps etc. I'm loving mine. She was supposed to be a offroad rig but ended up so well that I DD her now. 75-80 mph on Cali highways and Cali traffic..

Yeah be glad you did the crank swap, otherwise it would be a very disappointing vehicle, waaaay underpowered as a 4.0

That's weird, mine fits against the face of the rad with about an inch to spare before the water pump shaft. I'll take some pics once it stops raining.

Also, forgot to mention I recently rewired the thing with bullet connectors (and a liberal coating of dielectric grease) at the control box so swapping a bum fan is as easy as cutting the zip ties and plugging a new one in. The volvo fan shroud even slid into the stock lip/catch on the bottom of the radiator. It's just zip tied on top!

Well I picked up a 98 S10 rad (with cooler ports) from my local dismantler for a whopping $30. Lol. This will go with the hood and fender I got this past weekend to replace my cut hood from the taller GM rad I have installed now. The S10 one is gonna drop right in, cooler lines and all. No more hood clearance issues(shorter slanted neck) and the core is the same thickness as the 2500 series one I have now. S10 measure 34w X 18h & the 2500 rad is 36w X 21h. Will post pics mañana.

The issue: I have with the GM ones is rover cooler lines are 1/2" GM are 5/16" it concerns me a little reducing flow and raising pressure

Well I can't guarantee anything but I've been running this setup for months. And running it hard. I have no oil pressure issues, no cooling issues and no leaks.

BTW, I made a mistake. The S10 core is actually a 1/2 inch thicker/wider than the 2500 series one I bought online.
