GM Radiator Swap, 'Merica!
Only issue with the S10 rad's I saw was the lack of a heater return line...
Guess you're forcing me to do a writeup on my experience with this.........
So far a few issues with this setup (using the rad suggested originally)
1. Oil cooler and Tranny cooler are reversed not a huge deal for the tranny side as it has a large opening, and with just the fittings from the junkyard (cleaned out of course) can be used and fits perfect..
The Engine oil side, I recomend an external engine oil cooler if you're going this route.. the side for the engine oil is almost 1/2 the size it should be and restricting oil flow is a bad thing in any engine, but worse than most for these.
I'm looking at one of these for ~50$
Need to do a bit more research on the oil cooler, to get my truck back on the road I grabbed some brass barbs and reduced the line size before the radiator... I'm taking it easy on the truck till I get to put the real oil cooler in place.
Also, S-10 rad is a 15in core not 17in so should fit in the space the original occupied.
Cutting the clips off mine (i'll post pics for this too... just don't have time till later today) the 17in core sticks up a fair bit,
The lower radiator hose is up against something on the frame just behind the radiator. I need to see if I can cut this off, it looks like a loop is attached to the one on the drivers side (recovery point??), potentially something to cut off but for now I added some extra hose in between to keep it from rubbing through.
the size of the core is the actual mesh, and doesn't account for the 1/2in or so at the top and bottom for support (wish I realized this heh, also wish I just measured for myself to begin with. .. lol)
I don't mind the engine oil cooler addon, but if you are in a colder area it would pay to have a thermostat for the oil to let it get up to temperature.. somethin like

I'll be back later with a better writeup, and some pics...

Yeah, I'm not really into the write-ups. Sounds like a job for you nuke.
I did cut that piece of steel off from the frame by the lower rad hose. As for heater hookup, just use a t-fitting on the lower hose to supply the coolant. I'm in sunny SD so need for a heater. The coolers on my rad are working as they should, restricted and all! Hottest temp I've seen lately is 187*....

Tom, that looks good. Only concern I have is routing of that heater return line through the oil cooler lines (not an issue if you go with an aftermarket cooler) well and possibly the height of the filler neck, but your dropping two inches from the one I used so it may be close but should work
the later ones can work too if you get one of the rad feed hoses that has a inlet for the heater potentially..
If you're in a colder part of the country then the heat re-circulation will help the engine get up to temp earlier.
The nice thing about the ones with the heater return to radiator, it will help you drain the air out of the system easier.
edit:
I also forgot, you need to plug the return line for the throttle body heater. I will be putting a brass T in to allow this to return to the heater line/rad at some point...
