Default Headlight issues

Yesterday I did a couple moderate trails, drove home and noticed that my right headlight was dim and it was still dim when I turned on the high beams. My headlight bulbs are sylvania and where replaced in February.

The DI has 'city lights' that a dim lights akin to parking lights. They are different than your main headlights although they are in the same housing.

I suspect your city lights are working but your headlamp is not. I had the same problem. Turned out to be a shorted pig-tail connector. Easy fix by splicing in a new one and can be obtained at your local Napa store.

You can also use the opportunity to upgrade your headlamp wiring by installing two relays, one for the the low beam and one for the high, both main feeds (10ga) supplied from the battery and the relays controlled by the existing high and low beam circuits. Then run 12ga from relays to the headlamps and upgrade the headlamp grounds to 12ga.
This will let you have full voltage to your headlamps (minimal volt drop).

CB - see the smaller hole on the lower right of the main lamp? That's the "city light" spot, has second twist connector on the backside.

What color is your city lights? My city lights are green, is that normal?

I suspect the green lights were an "upgrade" from the previous owner... Are there any neon lights on the under carriage?

I kinda figured, but my disco was 1 of 10 that came from Britain, (yes I know they all do) for the 1996 Olympics, so I'm not sure if its OEM or after market, but most likely is after market
