You mentioned DRL, was this originally a canadian model? Could be bad module. Drop down the relay tray near the passenger footwell, it takes a 13mm wrench. Remove the daytime running light module. Itll be the relay looking thing in the back. Black socket.

Yes, it is a Canadian model.

I was just about to post a link to this thread talking about the DRL module!

You beat me to it, and I will report back tomorrow!

Thanks!

Resolved! Couldn't wait until tomorrow morning. It was the DRL (Daytime Running Light) relay module!

Pulled it and no issues anymore!

Thanks for everyone's time and help!

Once something is done i report back.

If I haven't, it means I haven't gotten around to it, but I will... like my Discovery / D90 caliper brake upgrade, transmission gasket, etc... Lol

Funny, my WJ is Canadian with DRL, the only one with lights on during the day in these parts. What's really odd is the oil pressure is in Bar and the coolant temp is in Celsius but the Speedo is in MPH?

Default Canadian D1 with DRL

Thanks to this post I solved the issue of instrument lights high beam indicator constantly on when the lights where on my 95 D1 “ Canadian model”. This also solved the my question of why does my headlights have sidelamps installed in the main lights if they seemingly don’t illuminate anything since DRL are on. I now removed the “Canadian DRL” relay and instrument high beam light illumination is solved and have “ city lights” so to speak.
