Default 04 Headlamps not functioning properly

When I turn on the low beams. The high beam only comes on.

I just installed new headlamps on my 04 Disco. When I turn the switch, the driver side low beam does not come on. When I turn on the high beams - all four lights -low and high on each headlamp turn on. Therefore, all the light bulbs work. Whats wrong with the drive side headlamp
they worked fine the first day Installed the new headlamps. Should I try reconnecting the lamp?
Also, I noticed that the interior dash lights don't work right either. When I turn on the headlamps- low beam, the dash lights turn off ( faded- not completely off). When I turn off headlamps, the dash lights turn on a brighter green. The opposite of what it’s supposed to do.

Actually, this is how the dash lights are supposed to work. If they are too dim at night with the headlights on, adjust with the roller near the side mirror switch.

Regarding the other issue, was the Hi/Lo working correctly before you replaced the lamps?

Thanks Red5... Yes, the H/L low were working before. Is possible its a bad connection? Anything simple I can try like reconnecting the lamp, disconneting the battery or fuse?

Sounds like the plugs for the driver side Hi and Lo got switched. Don't know if the wires are long enough inside the assembly to make the switch, but the plugs are the same so maybe it's possible?

I would open the covers for both and see if you can switch them.
