As I mentioned in another post, it's a real good idea to remove the plastic cowl cover between the hood and windshield, and cut/install a piece of metal hardware cloth over the open air hole (above the blower). There's a large open (uncovered) hole basically open to any and all leaves or rodents who wish to take up residence in the blower. I used some 1/4" (dimension of squares) wire cloth and bent it down over the lip. Applied some daubs of RTV in a couple places to hold it in place. Don't drill holes and put screws straight down, you could end up with leaks into your cabin. Then replace the cowl pieces. Takes 1/2 hr or so. Doesn't impede airflow. You can get it any just about any hardware store or Tractor Supply (Farm N Barn) type place. Or a guy could get some aluminum Stucco backing at a home center which would work too. I don't have any pictures unfortunately.

Default Blower

It's really straight forward. Just a nuts and bolts kind of job fortunately. Drop the cardboard kick panel off, remove the glove box and you will see the blower right there.

Default Blower motor

Seriously, if you can get a good/used blower motor, that is the way I would go. But I'm frugal lol
As long as the so-called squirrel cage is clean, and the motor turns, you should be good. Unless you are doing a ground-up resto, keep it modest.
