Default Help

I have a 97 discovery. I have done the head gaskets the timing chain and gears. A cam position sensor and plugs and wires and also a fuel filter. It idles perfect and runs perfect for about 3 miles. Then it has no power. Any help would be apreciated. Thanks

Fuel pressure regulator, or return line, etc.? Crack out the RAVE to section 19 for testing methods. Just for background, how long did it take you to do the HG job?

it took me a total of about 12 hrs to do the head gaskets. I have checked the fuel pressure and it has 38 psi

after i drive the rover 3 or 4 miles. It starts losing speed and the rpms wont go above 2500. But if you let it idle it idles perfectly. If you go to give it gas it has no power

You need to check the fuel pressure when this happens.
Rent a tester, hook it up, cable tie it out of the way, drive.
When this happens pull over, open the hood and check the gauge, then rev the engine by hand and watch the gauge.
Report back with those numbers.
