Default help!!

where is the cam shaft position sensor on a 96 land rover discovery sd? ive ran the codes and the purchased the part. but ive yet been able to locate it. if anyone cold let me know it would be greatly appreciated!! thanks!!

It's on the front of the engine. Here's the page from the RAVE shop manual, free download of the whole thing at link in my signature.

No that's the crank shaft position sensor, which is in this pix attached.

Climb under truck, locate oil filter, now look left on front cover you should see a harness . Follow the harness to cam shaft sensor attached by a single bolt I believe.

Oops, smoking too much crank...

yeah cam sensor is right between crank and water pump.
