Default Help!!! Brakes go soft after a week

Hi I have a 1999 Disco 1 that was leaking quite a bit from the master cylinder. I bought an aftermarket master cylinder, installed, and bled it. Everything seems OK, but after 5-7 days, I lose all brake pressure. This has happened twice now. What should I do? Thanks.

Any suggestions disco gurus? Should I buy a factory master cylinder instead and replace the aftermarket one I bought?

Are you sure it's leaking from the master cylinder? Could be a brake line or caliper that has a leak… Is the master cylinder fluid level dropping? If not, maybe you didn't get all the air out of the lines. I've had vehicles that had to be vacuum-bled to remove all the air, the traditional methods wouldn't remove some substantial air bubbles causing a very inconsistent braking action.

Yes, buy a genuine LR master cylinder. Aftermarket don't work. Your either going to experience lock up or your issue. Serious as a heart attack.
