Help! Disco died while driving now won't start
And it's in the shop again, doing the exact same thing now the shop says it has to be the multi function relay. I guess I'm going to have to buy a relay, is there anywhere to get them cheaper than British Atlantic? They had then for 99 bucks and we don't have and salvage yards here thy would have a land rover.
he told me it would 40 bucks to troubleshoot it and then when I called back the next day he said he had 3 hours in it at a total of 270.00
Not a whole lot of shops are going to troubleshoot for free and if you come in for a specific item to be replaced most won't guarantee a fix for a sudden engine dies and won't start type of problem.
Nothing is free these days. LR would be billing you about 120 per hour or so.

Thanks for the tip. I did find a crack in the mini inlet manifold but nothing like the photo you posted. I suspect this is original equipment maybe and the fuel guage wasn't working well any way so I'm calling Rovers North tomorrow to get next-day air on the Proline PFL132 unit you suggested. The parts houses where I live only sell the LR branded part for $240 and have to order anyways. Will keep you all updated.
With the top of it wet like it was, it was definitely spraying out when under pressure.
