Is there such a thing? Cheap dates? You pay in one way or another, my highly philosophical friend.

besides my wife doesn't let me date.

I noticed that someone replaced that hose with a piece of "straight" hose. This caused a kink and it is not letting very much air pass through it. Is this a special order part? Or would any shop have a piece of 3/8 "right Angle" tubing?

In the blister pack generic aisle of most parts stores you can find 90 degree rubber pipes. Not very vehicle specific.
