Help with starting issue
Need some help fellas....
I was given a 96 LRDI with a dead battery and shattered rear driveshaft(grenaded roto coupler).
I.did the driveshaft replacement and tried starting the truck unaware of the hood switch.
Since then every time i have messed with it i set the alarm off and have to silence it with the key in the drivers door (The key fob is dead battery)..
I have electricity thru the fuses, but nothing to or from the inertia switch or fuel pump.
I have jumped the fuel pump independent of the harness and that melted the top of the pump.(still no electricity thru the harness to the pump, momentary or constant). Now i have replaced the pump.
I have read tidbits that the alarm can disable the truck AND a battery jump can do the same thing.
Any thoughts anyone?
