Question Hose Identification?

Hey Folks,

I think I have identified the part in the picture below as this one:

Hose - Heater Manifold To Pipe - Find Belts, Hoses & Other Land Rover Parts at Roverparts.com

Yes?

Thanks!

That is the one. But what about the hose from that pipe to the firewall and the other hose from thye firewall to the other pipe? What condition are they in?

The one you picture was leaking badly on mine, it was actually oozing thru the walls of the hose. I ended up deleting the short curved pipe and running a new piece of 3/4 inch heater hose (? I think it was?) directly from the nipple on the block to the firewall and also replaced the other piece of heater hose from the pipe to the firewall.

I deleted the short piece of pipe because it was so difficult to install the short piece, but I had not purchased the hose you show. I see it is flared on one end.

The other hoses appear to be in good shape. I just noticed this one today. It isn't leaking, but as you can probably tell it is bulging a bit, and that ain't good.

I'm going to order it now and eventually replace the others; I just spent a chunk on rotors, pads, wheel bearings, seals, PS hoses, etc. so my Rover budget is running low for the month!

Thanks again!

Actually, the other heater hoses are inexpensive, and the shipping won't be any more, so it makes sense to pick them up as well.

Yeah, shipping alone makes it more cost effective to order as many little things as possible at one time.

Hose be hose, you should be able to buy this stuff by the foot at the parts store. While you have it apart flush heater core from both directions, turn heat on **** to "hot".

That adapter hose has different diameters at each end, so you can't use regular by-the-foot heater hose.
