Default How can you tell if ???????

How in the world do I tell if my engine has Advance Evaporative Loss or not? Need to order new 02 sensors and I see this option. I found some 02's at partsgeek.com for $81 Each. Has anyone used these or is this a disaster waiting to happen. I noticed Land Rover OEM sensors are $399 Each. I think that is crazy. AB sells them for $129 Each. But I do need to know if my engine is Advance Evaporative Loss or not.

You couldnt have POSSIBLY searched for that answer before you created that thread. There are like a THOUSAND threads on that same topic. Lets try and be a bit more judicious of our thread creation

Open the hood. Look past the battery. Is the charcoal cannister round or rectangular?

Round = Non advanced

Rectangular = Advanced

1997 was a mixed year. It is not safe to assume if it's a '97 it's AES.

Phew!
