As my health deteriorated, it eventually just sat there and the weather and time took its toll on the exterior/interior (with no garage, the years in the FL sun will wreak havoc). However, I always figured that if I got better, I would try to restore it, as kind of a "repayment" for all the years it stood by me while some other things didn't. So now that I've gotten a new lease on life, I'm going to try to give my Discovery a transplant of its own! I'm sure VT will be a more suitable climate, and certainly more challenging terrain! I'll let you know how I make out. Thanks for the opportunity.
Good luck with your new adventure!

For me it was simple.
I moved from the city to the country.
Owned a lowered black Calais. Beautiful car. Useless in the bush.
So decided i wanted a 4 wheel drive.
First cheap one i found was the disco.
Lack of knowledge on my part i have to say. Damn car is only a 2 wheel drive.
Annoys me they label it as a 4 wheel drive actually.
I worked this out after just a couple days when i got crossed up on the diffs and only 2 damn wheels turned.
Oh was i annoyed lol.
But thats how i got into land rover stuff.
Purely by accident.
Had i not spent so much on it now i would sell it and get a real 4 wheel drive.
