Default How long can I drive with front prop shaft out?

Have front prop shaft out, both universals have zerks, but grease will only ooze out of three corners on each. Driving it now with just the rear wheels. How long and how far can I do this? A lady named Hurricane Irene may visit this weekend, which kills all scheduled activities, and I may have to drive some distance if we have to leave.

The plus of having the prop shaft out was that it made replacing the starter last night much easier.

I drove mine from outside Philadelpia Pa to Charlotte Nc and back a few times. Just take it easy during accelerating and youll be fine. Plus I picked up a few MPG doing it.

With the transfer case locked, you can go about as long as you like. Don't expect any MPG savings because you're still turning everything up front.
