Ok, I got coolant leaking off the water pump hose. Does this mean I replace the gasket and see if it still leaks? If it leaks do I just assume it's bad?

Where EXACTLY is it leaking?
The hose that connects to the water pump or from the pump?

when my water pump went bad, it looked like my lower radiator hose was leaking. found out it was coming from the weep hole. it is on the pass side of the water pump, right on the part of the casting where the pully shaft goes through. in a spot that is hard to see, but you can see it from the top, but not from underneath.

It is leaking from my water pump, but if I remove the expansion cap/valve it leaks no more.

If you remember I had an episode a while back where my radiator plug blew off and I replaced it with a metal one. Im hoping my expansion cap is bad and is not venting and hopefully a new one will stop the leak.

Spike do you think I should give it a shot?

I just took the cap off and disasembled it, it's very simple hard to see what could go wrong.

And it was leaking for a while after the engine was off, I went to vent the system and it sounded like very little pressure but leak stops instantly. So I'm guessing it's the pump or seal.

Well after disasembling the cap, I guess I cleaned something. It's no longer leaking at the water pump.
