Default Immobilizer issues

My 99 D1 has been immortalized for about a week now. I tried resoldering the key fob and the eka trick, but nothing seems to work. I’m almost ready to just give up and sell the truck. Can someone please help?

How much did that cost you?

I believe it was around $300 for both. Make sure you use the part numbers on each unit when you get replacement ones.
Got mine from goldwingrover.com

I have 2 fobs that I got with the truck, but have never had them work. Found the wiring down by the A pillar floor on the passenger side were cut and taped back together so I repaired them correctly, replaced the battery, plus a bunch of other stuff trying to get it to work. I did get some success by having the ignition in the on position when I re-connected the battery. The only way I could shut off the horn was to disconnect the battery.
