Hello, I purchased D1 running boards right off the vehicle-- but my D1 shows absolutely no way of accepting the boards.

All posts I've found just say, "Slide em on in"... but that is absolutely not the case here.

Is there any hinged hardware that could be missing?
Could the previous owner have cut off the body mounts?

Please help, I feel like I'm going crazy!

What style running board did you get? Do they look like this > Side Steps Chevron Style - Land Rover side steps from Atlantic British

Since you have not posted a pic, I will take a guess.

The running boards come with the boards and 2 square tubes that extend horizontally at the side. In addition there is an irregular shaped vertical brace that bolts to the horizontal square tube sections. These sections extend up and bolt to the frame.

I'm guessing you don't have those.

 

abran I'll waste my time with you. OP you are missing Part# STC7772 the brackets that attach the boards to the frame.
