Default Intermittant wipers

Ive had a rover for a bit so used to the ****les the disco is throwing up so far, but the intermittant wipers are going up then staying in the upright position for about 3 seconds then going back down, is that normal ?

My rovers intermittant didnt work at all but i got used to it, but this i dont know if its supposed to do it? flick wipe works and they park fine as do the other modes.

thanks in advance

Mine acts up in cold weather or if they have not been used in a while. I have to jiggle the handle around a bit to get them started then they usually stay on.

I was figuring on spraying it with WD40 to see if that helped. Would hate to have to buy a new one.

Mine does that in the morning, it's also below freezing in the morning.

It has to do with the Laws of Physics, the metal are contracting due to the extreme thermal change thereby leading to intermittent contact. When they warm up, they expand to their "normal" size.

It's their coeffiencient of themal expansion to be precise.

Mine used to do this occasionally until I added new blades and tightened up the arms.

Pretty sure mine is in the switch mechanism. Primarily wear from age.
