Have D1 4.0 knock sensors always been so expensive? Are there any cheap substitutes?

I cracked the housing while swapping my starter of course. Seems solid but with a hairline crack. Can I glue it or don't bother and replace it?

Anybody holding and willing to give up before I start scrounging around?
