Hey guys im having trouble with my v8 rover! randomly has starting issues! ground to coil gets cut when cracking then randomly comes back! causes plug fowling and missfires.. have replaced coil leads plugs ignition module dizzy cap and button!! one day it'll start fine then the next it'll just keep cranking over till it finally starts (5/6 seconds of cranking)
any help would be much appreciated

 

are you SURE it's a spark issue ?, have you checked the fuel pressure (30-35 psi) ?...is there any difference on a cold start versus a warm one ??.try depressing the gas pedal just a little and see if it cranks up better ......some of these tend to over-fuel a little when the engine is warm..let us know how it goes

 

definitely spark.. fuel pressue good. injectors been cleaned few months ago also. car is currently at mechanics who are having alot of trouble finding the problem and they've said its really low spark. fires up alot worse when dead cold. once warmed up you can start it between 10/20 mins after without a issue. any longer rough starts again
