So I'm having issues... I got my land Rover alittle while back and I'm relatively new to the mechanic life, but I decided to try to get into wheeling in the land Rover. and it doesn't come with springs so I need some help... Does the 5inch dislocation set actually lift my Rover 5inches? Can I run stock springs or do I need to buy 5inch lift springs? I'm having a hard time figuring it out so some help would be appreciated! Thanks a bunch.

 

You're gonna need bigger springs for sure and maybe spacers too. Reach out to Lucky8 for the assistance they're awesome!

You're definitely going to need new springs. 5" is the shock travel, not the lift height. Notice that you're only getting radius arms with 3 degrees of castor correction; that means the expected lift should be around 2" when fitted with complimentary springs. If you go higher than 2", then you'll likely want to go to Terrafirma's 6 degree castor correction radius arms.

As @drivendesign said, just call Lucky8 and they'll point you in the right direction.

Please remember that with such an aggressive kit you're going to need to camel cut the back of your Rover (assuming you have larger tires to go with this kit). You'll also want extended brake lines and maybe a front sway bar spacer if you plan on keeping it on (i'd assume not given this kit).

 

Ok. I will have to do some searching for extended brake lines. I get the kit today so I will see what it has

 

If you are going taller than 2" you will probably want to replace the front drive shaft for one with a double cardan.
