Default little wobble

After switching from the 24575's to the 30570 tires I notice a small amount of steering wheel wobble only at 45 MPH. I know I need to replace the steering damper. Could that be the cause? Or is it likely a balancing and or alignment issue? Other than the small wobble it's seems solid and even better feeling than the smaller tires (maybe because they are new)

I also notice after opening up the back of the rear wheel opening it looks better than stock IMHO.

Big tires amplify everything. Start with tire balance and alignment, they look at anything loose up front (bolts, TREs, etc...) If tie rod ends are original or old its a good idea to replace regardless if it fixes your shaking. Panhard bushing can contribute. Swivel pin preload is a big cause and an easy repair. I replaced my upper swivel bearings and reset preload and it helped tremendously but I still get some shaking every now and then. I am going to rotate the tires and see if that helps. I also need an alignment.

only at 45? going straight without hitting anything? thats a tire balance issue. if you have bumpsteer, refer to CUpgt's post. steering dampers dont do jack.

I have my steering dampener removed completely until mine is situated. It is in no way there to keep it from wobbling.

Real Land Rovers, leafers, didn't have that new fangled thing to soften the jarring realities of off roading until the '70's. You learned not to keep your thumbs on the inside of the wheel so they wouldn't be broken if you slide off that rock you were balancing on. Like MM3846 said, a steering damper has no impact on any of this. All they are there for is to mask irregularities and make it comfy when you go over bumps. I wish I had a nickel for everytime I've seen people think a steering damper was the source of a problem.
