That's what I did too. Then yer good for many yrs..

Also, a Snap-on scanner reads these OBD's pretty well if you have access to one, or an older unit. Has to be like V11 (or 12?) software or higher. Meaning an older red-brick scanner won't work. But a newer one would. And the Chinese scanners from Amazon I believe list Land Rover (double-check the yrs). It'll read the ABS and I don't remember what other modules, do some bi-directional stuff. But not anywhere near as comprehensive as newer vehicles. Been a while since I've hooked mine up honestly.

I removed the old trailer plug set up, wired in a new one using the wires that were spliced in , not the plug that should have been used under right tail light, . Tried my trailer lights and the signal blinked normally not fast.

So the problem is just the missing two rear bumper lights due to bad connections. I will try and find new plugs, or try and fix what is there and the light problem is good.

One more quick question when the turn light is activated is the blinking arrow supposed to show left and right arrows? The little green light in the middle of the dash. I can't find the info in owners manual. On all my other vehicles the left and right dash turn indicators were in seperate.locations,.and just left or right blinked unless the hazards were on.

Going to look at the brakes now I think.

Thanks a bunch and more to come!

Craig.

I had the same reaction when I first started driving my Disco. But, that's how it is. First flash shows indicator and trailer, after that only single center indicator, either right of left turn. I'm used to it now.

I got the rover back together today and took it for a spin around my shop yard!

Once I figured out the abs light won't go off until I drive it I put the wheels back on and took it for a spin . Brakes worked great, no warning lights , abs light went off once I started driving it! .

Still need some fluid changes but it is coming along great!
