At A loss!!
That's the symptoms of the VSS, so I hear. It shuts down spark to one bank when it lies to the ECU telling it that you are going way too fast, like spike555 said, which would cause that side to seem very rich.
[QUOTE=Danny Lee 97 Disco;257400]Where the O2 sensors changed or might it still be tryong to run on possibly the original ones?
no, that is one thing we have not done yet. We were trying to figure this out, and then all new exhaust and o2s were going to be installed.

Ok, so we took the computer out of the vehicle last night. Opened it and i was floored. something very corrosive had made it's way in there. BUT.... a friend who is also a computer tech, (fixes motherboards, etc) came over... cleaned it up completely. He said he saw no real damage to the board, etc. We reinstalled it, and same problem, no more no less.
We are ordering the VSS today. Once we get that and install it, if the problem still exists we are going to assume it's a problem from the ECU... and will then send it to be repaired.
I truly want to thank EVERYONE here for all their detailed replies!! You all are amazing with your knowledge!!!
I am so thankful to have found this site and for all you awesome people for your vast information!!!
Will let everyone know what happens after the VSS is installed.
Again....THANKS ALL!!!

Call Will Tillery (Roverguy.com) or Paul Grant to see about a replacement ECU. I do not know anything about sending one in for repaor, but that sounds potentially expensive!
Will also has O2 sensors new or used at better prices than anywhere I have found.
Running on old O2's like I did will cause it to waste fuel and run rich and can damage the cats.
Good Luck to you with the Discovery!
