Default Low rpms

I changed the crank position sensor today and it doesn't bog out in idle but it's running at low rpms part of the time. Also doesn't always start right away. It's struggling to fully rev up at times when I turn it over. Help? Anyone? I'm a noob

Clean the Mass Air Flow sensor, it may help and might not. You might be in for a MAF replacement. Don't use carb cleaner, it'll eat the resistor wires. It's open port is opposite the air flow, shoot it from the throttle side not air cleaner side.

I put a used MAF on last week, after that deduced that it is the crank position sensor cause it to bog out in idle. I didnt mention that i changed the oil yesterday and added some transmission leak repaur stuff. Before that i had also over filled the tranny fluid(bone dry before) so i drained some before adding the leak stopper. Maybe that has something to do with it? What do I use to clean the MAF ? And do it from which end? Also one MAF i scraped had a little fan in it that just slides in and out. Do I need that?

MAF cleaner from the throttle plate end, the outlet end. Do you know if the used MAF is good? No fan, it's solid state, uses a heated wire/cold wire to measure volume. What does the connector and wires leading to the crank sensor look like, in good shape or burned, missing insulation?

There was an oil leak from previous owner, since been fixed but oil is all over alot of stuff. I'm assuming the insulation is around the wiring because it is everywhere else. I didn't know to unplug battery and reset computer. I'm going to try that out and see what happens. The MAF is used, not sure how to test it. Forgive my ignorance but the throttle plate end is the opening closest to the engine?

Check the wiring for the crankshaft position senor, mine leaked oil on to the wiring causing the insulation to break apart and the wires to short. The disco would randomly stop and not want to start, problems went away after repairing the wire.
