Alright man, hears the deal.....and I dont wanna insult anybody else, but I feel like Im getting more ideas out of ur post thans most others. And I feel like we may look at alot of things the same way.
Hears whats happening, I just gort my first Disco and the first thing I wanna do is get a lift and tires on it. Just wanna do a 2" suspension lift and maybe some 235/85's (thats the biggest im intrested in going). The only experience i have in lifting anything is putting a leveling kit on my truck.......so, I have some questions.

1.) I see u have the Heavy Springs lift.....Im not goona put any bumpers on it and at the most I may pull a small trailer with a 4wheeler, do I need the heavy springs?
2.) Does the lift kit come with everything I need? If not, what do I need?....replace brake lines, steering extender, convert to U-joint, ect.

Im gonna use it for hunting and messing around (no rock climbing or mud bogs), and around town so I want to keep as good of a ride as possible. And Im sure I'll have more ?'s later. If you can make the time to help me out I'd appreciate it.

If you go OME..HD springs is what I would go with. Going with Terrafirma kit you will need Medium or Light duty (i have light duty and i love it). TF has completely diff spring rates than OME. Light Duty on a TF is almost the same as a medium duty of OME

I decided to go with 265 75 16

I would go HD. you get a little more lift and the ride isn't too bad, it's not as bad as you think.

All you NEED is springs. For a hd lift that is it. Extended brekelines are nice if your the most hard core wheeler ever and removed your sway bars, or if you just want them incase. But for the hd lift all that's needed is springs. Stock shocks will work but obviously It would be nice to have newer ones.

Cool....what do I look for in shocks? No need to worry about the driveline, then? Also, are ur painted wheels holding up? Did u check on powder coating at all?

I always paint my wheels. They need a recoast soon only because of scatches I get offroad which power coat will do also. Its too cheap not to.

As for a shock you want one designed for a lift so it has enough down travel normally hd shocks go with hd springs and md with md. Do as you prefer.
