Default Mystery blue light on Louvre Panel

Recently bought a 1997 D1 SE7 with approx 88,500 miles - lonely but not totally neglected, engine run periodically - partially because of the wealth of info in these forums.

First newb question: What is this blue light on the "Switch Pack - Central Louvre Panel"? See pic. It's not in the manual or RAVE unless I missed it. Light is constantly on, engine on or off, and only off, of course, when the battery is disconnected. Unlike its Front-Foglights neighbor, the button doesn't depress. It's not a big deal, just curious. My guess is that it's part of the alarm system, but I deactivated the alarm. The Switch Pack can be removed easily enough to disconnect the bulb, but, even though it's a slight load on the battery, the light sez Alarm. Thanksss.

That is not a factory light. My guess might be an aftermarket alarm but really without more information it could be anything.
