so i'm installing my new compressor, need to know what oil it takes. Under the hood says pag nd8, but no one sells that. searching google looks like nd8 is the equivalent of pag 46, but i just want to verify this before i throw it in, and advice would be appreciated, hopefully quick input as im pulling the old one off right now. thanks in advance.

 

I added PAG46 to mine a year ago. Seems fine, but can't say yes for sure. I pulled mine down to check for leaks. It was fine and I just replaced the oil I took out. Still blows just as cold with no ill effects on the internals of the compressor. I will add that you should work quickly as the PAG is very hygroscopic.

 

great just the answer i was looking for. new ones on and it'll be charged up tomorrow. also took out some ghetto bypass wiring from the po so hopefully the compressor was the reason he bypassed the factory wiring for it haha.
