I looked back through my posts and found 2 shops in Denver recommended to go to from someone on here. I just called Spike’s Radiator on recommendation from one of those shops and he quoted me $700 for a recore, which is the same price as a new radiator from AB. Will keep looking.

Ya, Denver area pricing on anything automotive is insane. That's why I do as much work as I possibly can on this beast...actually on all of our cars. My experience so far with the Nissens has been overwhelmingly positive. It does have the plastic end tanks, but I've been motoring with it installed for 2+ years and we've experienced temps in the 100+ and -15 ranges in that timeframe. I had a pipe freeze and burst in our kitchen wall, but the Rover was A-ok. Indy sits outside next to the house, so it's seen some major temp swings with no radiator leaks. It was 100 degrees here yesterday and the Torque app indicated the truck was at 178 degrees at a steady 70mph. I do have a Stant 45858 180 Degree Superstat installed, so that seems to be helping out. At traffic lights it'll creep up to around 185, but once it's moving and the viscous fan clutch engages, it's right back to around 178. YMMV, but I'm very pleased with the Nissens.
