Default New To Me, Question??

Hello...
I'm new to the site and will be picking up a 98 Discovery I. Attached is a photo of it and from what I've been told it's a 50th Anniversary edition. It only has 83K miles. That said, I'm not able to find information about the anniversary edition. Hopefully some of you folks with much more knowledge than I can shed some light on what I am picking up????
Thanks in advance!
Lee

This is a 1998 Discovery LSE in Woodcote Green with the TWR wheels. All 1998 Discovery's were "50th" anniversary so to speak. They all have the rear window decals to commemorate 50 Years of Land Rover (1948-1998).

First gen Discovery 1's in good shape are very hard to find but this particular one is pretty rare. What sets yours aside from other Discovery 1 trim levels are the wheels, the color and some of the trim pieces, i.e. the leather wrapped shift lever. But really the color and the wheels.

It's a beautiful truck congrats on the find! I wouldn't change anything about it or make any major mods. It is your truck and you are free to do as you please but you won't be finding any replacement bumpers or trim pieces for this one and it looks best in its original stock form. If you are wanting to get into overlanding or off-roading a Jeep or Toyota would be a better option since they are a dime a dozen, parts are plentiful and they don't require quite the maintenance. Or maybe a DII since they are still available and pretty inexpensive if you search. But, maintenance is expensive if you can't do it yourself.

The miles are very low for this one and that is a bonus. Of the two photos it looks like it was well maintained.

The previous owner of this one was on here for awhile.

Oh yea, Army is right. He was trying to sell it. It was his daily driver if memory serves me correct. Glad he found a buyer. Welcome.
