I am going to bet..... that if BOTH cats are bright red it's unburnt fuel reaching the cat.. This happens to other vehicles when they experience a coil failure for extended periods of time.. Ask me how I know

if ONE cat was red then yes I would bet that cat is clogged.. but BOTH clogged at the exact same time?? unlikely. My bet is fuel is being burnt there and it's caused by the source of the misfires..
