Default O2 sensors

I pulled this from an earlier post.

The following is for GEMS EFI 1996 - 1999 (early) and I copied this from a LR tech. bulletin:

The most common sensor used is zirconium based and generates a voltage of between .01 up to 1 volt based on the difference between the oxygen in the exhaust stream and that of the atmosphere.

Land Rover vehicles use a titania based sensor that operates differently. Instead of producing a voltage, the sensor changes resistance in response to oxygen in the exhaust. A rich mixture creates a low resistance in the sensor and vice versa.

A five volt reference signal is supplied to the sensor. In the case of a rich mixture, the low resistance in the sensor "pulls" the voltage low. Conversely, a lean (high oxygen content); mixture will cause the sensor to have high resistance and a high voltage. The typical range on a GEMS equipped vehicle is between less than 1 volt to more than 4 volts.
Is the $50 NGK O2 sensor on amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001PNG622/ref=ord_cart_shr?ie=UTF8&m=A139T64LTDCRO8
the correct type of O2 sensor?

Here is what NGK's website says regarding that O2 sensor.

4 WireNon-Flanged OE Identical Titania Oxygen Sensor, Direct Plug In, No Cutting or Splicing Required For Installation. Wire Length: 520mm/20.47in.

NGK also states these are for AELS systems. The non-AELS system O2 sensors are NGK 25017...
So I assume it is correct?

Are you asking which sensors you need to buy?

I guess I was, but then I answered my own question by going to the NGK website. I get to buy cheaper fuel pumps but more expensive O2 sensors...

I guess that a fair trade off.

the sensors were ordered monday and came in today's mail. "NTK" packaging part #25044. The wiring harness is exactly the same as the old sensors ....only about a inch shorter...which wont be a problem. The price was $100.01 for two sensors with shipping. I'll install them, weather permitting ,tomorrow..these should be the real deal though.

They are the real deal. Land Rover OE sensors are NTK.
I've gotten them both for my '95 and my '97 from Amazon.
