Did you replace all the vacumn hoses?

My EGR hoses were starting to deteriorate from the inside walls. You might want to take a look at those as well if they are originals.

Another question, how do you guys post such large pics? I use the manage attachments button and don't get the same results, just the little thumbnails, up to five at a time. Is there some trick to putting the larger pics in the middle of a posting?

I replaced 2 complete vacuum lines. 1 from the back of the intake to the fuel pressure regulator. 1 from the intake to the vacuum advance on the distributor.
3rd leak was to the cruise control, again. I fixed that one before and it cracked again. I will have to buy some new lines and just replace them all. I did check the breather lines and while stiff they did not feel compromised yet.

Danny I went into great detail for you on how to post large pics the last time you asked.

It is in the "cabin filter" thread.

Ok. Back from the trip and all went well. Still have the whooshing noise. Only real wrinkle I had was the transmission seems to have stuck in 3rd after climbing monarch pass on the way home. I could shift to P,N,R and D however in D it stayed in gear and did not switch to OD or 4th or whathavyou. after decending about a mile it finally found OD. I think the transmission was too hot and locked into a gear. I have alot of pics and video which I will post later. Any other insights into this? I am starting to think the whoosh and the trans issue are related. Perhaps I need to record it and post it.

Where is the whoosh coming from?
How long does it last?
When exactly does it do it?
